A Class Action lawsuit has been
commenced in Ontario relating to Tequin, an antibiotic manufactured by
Bristol-Myers Squibb. In this lawsuit, it is alleged that the use of Tequin
can cause an increased risk of potentially life-threatening blood sugar
fluctuations.
Tequin (gatifloxacin) is an
antibiotic typically prescribed to treat pneumonia and other infections
including those of the bladder, urinary tract and sinuses and for sexually
transmitted diseases. Recent studies suggest that in a certain number of
people, ingesting Tequin often results in being treated in emergency
departments or hospitalized for blood sugar disorders.
If you or someone close to
you has used the drug Tequin, and wish to receive further information
