Nissan Odometer

January 22, 2008

Poyner Baxter has filed a class action lawsuit against Nissan Canada Inc.

The lawsuit claims that Nissan sold or leased certain 2004 to 2007 models of Nissan and Infinity in Canada that had odometers which inflated the distance traveled by 2.5% to 4%. It claims that this defect has reduced the effective period of the warranties, reduced the resale value of the vehicles, and for leased vehicles has caused charges for excess kilometres or early conclusion of the lease.
