The antibiotic Levaquin (generic name: levofloxacin),
marketed by Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has recently been
associated with seriously adverse side effects. Those side effects include
damaged or ruptured tendons of the Achilles, rotator cuff, biceps, hand and
thumb, and also peripheral nerve damage.
