Poyner Baxter issued a press release today regarding the class action against Sony.

October 22, 2004

Poyner Baxter has filed a class action lawsuit against Sony of Canada Ltd., Sony Electronics Inc. and Sony Corporation.

The lawsuit alleges that Sony was negligent in the design, manufacture and sale of certain models of rear projection cathode ray tube televisions in that they are prone to incur screen image-retention, or "burn-in" after proper usage and normal and foreseeable viewing of fixed images.
